What is required of the teacher who leads the program?

Teachers are required to have ongoing communication with their partner(s) from their twin school. This connection is a combination of conference calls and other correspondence that enables shared activity planning and tracking of activity implementation

What language is used?

Decisions about language are made by the educational staff in accordance with the goals and abilities of the students. Activities usually take place in English and Hebrew.

How do you overcome the time difference?

We integrate synchronized and a-synchronized educational activities. The a-synchronized activities allow each class to study on its own, within a predetermined time period. The synchronized activities can require scheduling beyond regular school hours, twice a year at most

We are a supplementary/Sunday school. Is it still possible to create a meaningful connection?

Of course. Many Twinning programs take place in day schools and in supplementary schools. We adjust the program accordingly

How many hours do we need to invest in the program?

With a minimum of 5 shared activities throughout the year, the program allows for flexibility. Schools may broaden the scope of a program based on their needs and interests

Do students and educators stay in touch?

Even though the twinning is class to class Many long-term friendships are created through the program and personal meetings happen when the opportunity arises
